I'm in 10 grade. the 2 main things i want in my cell phone is good text messaging plan and i want my phone to look good. I like the idea of having a full QWERTY keyboard but don't want the LG rumours since everyone has it. I was also thinking blackberry pearl or the blackberry pearl flip (i know they don't have the full keyboard but i still like it). But i'm not sure if a blackberry would be a good choice. Please can someone help me decide on a phone and even maybe a companies i should go with, i'm open to any ideas ; i live in Canada btw.and if i get a blackberry i would get it with no contract just btw. more

Open Question: Why Are Flip Flops Cool But Barefoot Or Shoes Off Is Bad?

I've wondered about this.Ihave a pair of flip flops that are real thin and have a thin gold thong band acros my foot.You see my entire feet. I get compliments on them all the time from ladies at work or out doing whatever. However, sometimes under my restaurant table I will take my toes out of the flip flops and put my feet right on top of the straps (sometimes sit Indian style). I've had people tell me it's rude, offensive, and other negatives. Why is it in style to have flip flops that make you look barefoot, but yet if you put your toes out of your flops and right on top of your shoes that is more offensive than picking your nose and wiping on your next table over's cheeseburger, yelling on your cell phone, and not showering for a month?If my toes are over the strap, but on top of the shoe soles, what difference does this make? more

I just got a new cell phone. The Blackberry Flip 8230 from Alltel (we're not scheduled to be switched over to Verizon until October out here in Nebraska). I have noticed that my battery life is getting worse each day. Example: Yesterday I had a full charge when I went to work at 7am. I only use the phone once during my first 15 minute break to check my facebook and myspace messages around 9:30am. At 3pm during my second 15 minute break I noticed that my phone was in the yellow status for battery (less than half) and by the time I got home it was almost dead. I've also noticed that my network connection is acting up as well. I use to be on EV all the time, expect of course when I made or received a call then the phone would go back to 1X for voice only. Now I'm lucky to get EV for more than a few minutes. It bounces between EV for a minute or 2 and then goes right back to 1X and is horribly slow. is my phone a piece of junk or is it my battery causing the problems? more

THE 4TH OF JULY -Chapter 1- I will never forget what happened that night. I remember it like it was yesterday and thats not a good thing. July 4, 2001 was the night he ruined my party. My name is Chloe and this, this is my story. -Chapter 2- July 4, 2001, Tuesday, my friends and I were hanging around school grounds after school at Chelling High. The sun was still high and shining, we talked about our plans for that night. "So Chloe..... whats up for tonight?" said Mona, with her blue eyes burning into mine. "Well...." I said, "I was thinking about throwing a party, my parents are out all night so what the heck? Party at my house!" Carrie and Megan those are my other two friends. All that was in all four of our minds at that time was, tonights gonna be so fun! But the truth is, We had no idea what we had coming that night. -Chapter 3- The word about the party got out faster than i thought it would, and by the time the party started, at least 30 people were there. Us four girls were in a group sitting on th sofa, yelling over the rap music playing in the background. "I'M GONNA GO GET A BEER!" said Carrie, "ANYONE ELSE WANT ONE???" "I DO!" said Mona, "ME TOO!" said Megan. "CHLOE?" said Carrie. "NO NO NO, THERE AUTTA BE ONE OF US NOT DRUNK AND THAT'LL BE ME!" I said. "OKAY THEN....." said Carrie. As Carrie walked to the garage to go get a beer, the music faded behind her. When she walked in she could only hear the beat of the music now. She opened the refriderator, and got 3 beers. As she was about to leave she heard a screaming in the backyard. She walked over to the garage door, pressed the button and the garage door opened slowly. She seen a pair of legs, garage door going up, two hands, one that held a knife, garage door was fully up and there was standing, a person knife in one hand, a girls decapited head in the other, the person was wearing a fencing mask. Carrie screamed at the top of her lungs, but the whole party couldnt hear anything from the garage. The person, assuming a man, came closer, closer, closer, closer, Carrie stepped back, back,back, then she reached the wall. She then took the beers and threw them at the man, the man showed no emotion, or reaction, he soon reached Carrie, she dashed to the left, ran out the garage door screaming. The man then walked towards her, Carrie hid behind a tree, thinking the man wouldnt find her. All she heard was silence. So, she was about to run back to the party for help. But before she could move the man wrapped his hand around her mouth, and stabbed her in the back. She fell to the ground. He then pulled her head up by her hair, and slit her throat, blood went everywhere. Carrie was dead. -Chapter 4- 30 minutes after Carries death. Megan, twirling her long blonde hair said, "Damn! Where is she with our beers?". "Hmmmmm" said Mona, "Maybe she ran into a hot guy and they ran off together?" Mona then started laughing, and so did Megan and I. The laughter soon was broke off by the power shutting down. Everyone at the party stared at each other. I stood up on the sofa, "Please, don't panic!" I said, "Just sit tight and my friends and I will fix everything!...." "Come on girls" I mumble. and we all go in different places to check. I went outside to check the power box, Megan went upstairs to look for Carrie, and Mona went to the basement to look for Carrie. When I went out there, i messed with the power box for a bit, until, i finally fixed it. I heard the music pumping back on and everyone cheering. But as i am about to head back inside, i see a figure laying in the grass. Carrie? I slowly walk towards the figure. It was Carrie. Her long brown hair over her face, blood all over her tanktop. Mona! Megan! Oh no! I have to get them before its to late! -Chapter 5- Mona, who was searching the basement, was looking everwhere but Carrie was not to be found. She was heading up the stairs back to the party, when a knife slit through the stairs, slicing Monas shin, and she fell toppling down the stairs. Mona was struggling to get up. She crawled on her stomach pushing herself forward with her arms. Her black bangs toppled over her eyes, absorbing the tears. The killer came up behind her, flipped her over on her back, and raised the knife. "No....." whispered Mona in a hoarse voice. He forced the knife down into her chest. She gasped for air, then, suddenly, died. The man went upstairs, leaving Mona in a puddle of blood. -Chapter 6- I was searching everywhere for Mona and Megan. I finally found Megan but no sign of Mona. "MEGAN!" i screamed, "WE HAVE TO CALL THE POLICE! CARRIES DEAD! CARRIES DEAD!". Megan stares at me like im joking, when she sees the expresion on my face she then starts to panic. She pulls her cell phone out of her pocket. dials 9 1 1, and speaks to the police. "Okay, theyre on their way!" She said. "Lets go get Mona!" I said. Megan and I hsorry heres the rest---- Megan and I head torwards the basement, we open the door and go down. It was dark so we left the door open for light. As we look around for Mona the door slams, leaving us in the dark. Each window of the truck stood open, blasting the family with cool and fresh air. The driver, Henry Morris looked in his mid-forties, relaxed back in his seat as he looked at the lush greenery that the Canadian coast has to offer. To his side sat a Kate Morris, her curly dirty blonde hair flailed in the wind as each gust of air pasted. She looked about the same age as the man that sat directly across from her. Her eyes look empty and saddened as she stared out at the water; shimmering from the dancing beams from the sun. Abigail Morris, their daughter, lay outstretched across the back seats, resting each of her sneaker-bound feet outside the left back window. Her straightened brown hair rested down mid-arm length; lighting fluttering in the wind. Her oversized sunglasses cut out most of the sunlight, giving her vision a grayish haze. Her white headphones blasted music into her ears, muffling out all other noises while she sketched onto her writing pad as she rested her back on a large purple pillow. “Kate, look at that!” The driver directed over to the woman in the front seat in a raspy voice. Resolved Question: Please help, I'm going insane, my younger special needs sister is a spoiled brat!?

Firstly, please don't tell me "don't worry about, your parents can deal with her" - they won't. They don't even watch her all day, she's usually at her caregivers. I'm not a bad kid, I keep my room clean, I listen to my parents, and clean the house. I am mostly a recluse and am either in my room or at a friends house. My little sister is 11, going on 12, and is a spoiled brat! Granted, she does have cerebral palsy and is mentally retarded, but she's NOT stupid. She knows that by crying, acting sorry or being overly annoying that my parents will bend over backwards for her! She used to be really sweet, but recently, she's been nothing but flat-out rude, and my parents do nothing about it! She tells them "no" and back talks constantly, she does anything she wants, and nobody limits her! If somebody JUST started playing a video game, within 5 minutes, she'll be whining that she wants on, and my parents will make anybody whose on the said game get off! If she wants to play with MY cell phone, be it listening to the ringers or calling somebody, I get yelled at or told "not to be in such a bad mood" if I say no! (My mom bought my cell phone, and I live with my step-mom and dad.) She has a habit of getting sticky crap on cellphones and then "giving them baths", totally destroying them, so it's no wonder I don't want her on it. My parents often are either watching television or playing on the computer and don't ever feel like dealing with her. If she asks them to eat junk before dinner, they'll tell her "no" about twice, but come the third time, it's an exasperated "I don't care." She almost never even has to eat dinner! She'll sit and pout until they let her get up from the table, and then she'll go drink Pepsi (which is the only drink she drinks, they never make her drink anything else) and eat some chips and pretzels. She makes messes all the time and never has to clean them up - it's always entrusted to us other kids. We have to watch her the majority of the time when she's home and wants to go outside, but if we discipline her for not listening, WE get yelled at like we tortured her or something. After she "gets in trouble" she'll say that she's "sorry and I won't do it again", but she'll go and do it 10 minutes later! Here's the 3 major incidents that have really pushed my buttons during the week, just for examples: 1._ I was asked to watch her as she went outside on Tues. She wanted to play in the dirt pile, so we went and I started building a little house and she started digging a hole. Then, as she saw what I was doing, she began to throw dirt and try to destroy my house. I told her to stop, she just laughed and said she was "making it better her way", about 10 minutes of arguing passed, and I finally threatened her with making her go inside if she didn't stop, and she finally stopped. Then, my dad came outside, and she started doing it again! When I told her to stop it, my dad chewed me out, saying that I was just in a bad mood and needed to stop it. So she kept doing it. I had dirt all over my clothes, in my eyes, my teeth, my hair...EVERYTHING! Finally, after about 2 continuous hours of this, it was time to eat and we all went in. 2._ After going in, she wanted to go eat outside, so the entire family trouped outside to eat. She kept going on and on and on about some issue that happened about 4 months ago (which she goes on about every day!) and my dad told her to stop it. She kept talking. So he told her that she was going to bed early at nine-o-clock. Come nine, she was packing up her stuff to go spend the night at a friends house! 3._ Today, me and my brother were watching her, and she kept throwing rocks into the road. (She's not allowed.) We told her that if she threw another rock, that she would have to go in. She threw another. We took her inside and told her to sit in a chair for 10 minutes, no talking or we'd add another minute for each time she talked. (This is EXACTLY what used to happen to us when we got in trouble at her age.) She kept talking, so we kept adding minutes. Overall, she ended up staying in the chair for 20 minutes. My step-mom came home and said, and I quote, "So, on top of coming in as punishment, she had to sit in a chair?" We explained that if we just left her come in, that all she'd do was play on the XBOX or call somebody. She still flipped out. THEN over dinner, my little sister was re-accounting the "horrible time-out" and said to me that she wouldn't ever let me put her in time out again. I told her that I'd only put her in time out if she misbehaved or didn't listen to me. My dad then told me "no you won't" and we got into a little spat over disciplining her in which he ADMITTED that she won't even listen to him. Soon after she said that she was sorry and won't ever do it again. I said to her "Yeah right, we all know that you'll do it next time you get a chance." My dad then yelled at me and told me to shut up. Speaking of the word "shut up", if somebody says a word she finds to be inappropriate, such as crap or stupid, she'll tell them "you won't go to heaven if you say that." EVERY TIME YOU SAY IT. She also hates wearing shirts, and so is only made to walk around in a bra. It's really embarrassing when I have friends over, and my parents just laugh it off. She talks about having her period to literally EVERYBODY, it's driving me up a wall! I'm currently seventeen, and am getting fed up feeling like I'm the only one who can see that she's nothing but a spoiled brat and that some discipline is needed! more

So I just got a new cell phone in March, it's called the Samsung Alias from Verizon. It's the cell phone that flips open two ways and has a full keyboard. A few weeks ago it started having many problems, it dropped calls, didn't let me answer my calls, and lots of problems with keeping, sending, and receiving texts. So the Verizon people trouble shoot it. But it still didn't work. So they sent me a replacement in the mail, and few days after I got it, it started having the same problems. im 15 years old and im so stressed out. my parents got divorced in 2005 and i thought that was going to be the end of being stressed becaus of all thier fighting. But its not. My sister is graduating high school this year and my parents are fighting over who has to pay for college. my mom tried to fill out finacial aid papers but she couldnt because she doesnt not claim my sister on her taxes me dad does. And my dad says that child support is supposed to be used for college. they fight still and im to the point where i want to rip my hair out. my dad also makes me get money for every little thing from my mom. my mom doesnt even make 30 thousand a year she is a medical asst that works in a very small doctors office. we cant afford her going back to school. My dad maked about 100 thousand a year he is a controlor for the RIT college. he pays chold support and my mom uses it for food clothing our house and our cell phone bill and other things like cabel ect. my mom doesnt have alot of money and what she does have she spends it all on us and i really feel bad for her. my dad makes us think he is poor but i know he makes alot of money. On top of this my dads girlfriend just moved in out house with her 11 and 13 year old boys. They both still call her mommy they both still get tucked in at night and they act like babies! i did my own laundry when i turned 12 and she says her boys cant because boys and girls are different. im forced to help make dinner every night like i have to make something to eat with dinner and i have to make a vegtable. I wouldnt mind setting the table or something like that. No i have to make dinner when his girlfrind doesnt even help half the time. Her boys dont help!! and i have to help clean up after and her boys dont!! And on top of it they have a dog that need alot of attention it was never trained to it gets on top of the table wont stop pacing and she gets into things like the garbage and knocks things over! she is a real pain in the butt. Her boys are suppose to take care of the dog when they get home from school and they dont im stuck doing it and when i tell them too they litterally take care of her for 2 minutes then they forget about her cause they are watching tv. Im so sick of feeling like a slave. My dads girlfriend got my sister kicked out of his house because she showed them a picture of when she was a baby and it so happened to have my mom in it and she flipped and my dad kicked her out. Im so sick of this and it soo stressed and i just want to have a break from everything. (iv tried talking to my dad multiple times it didnt work) please help me i dont want to feel like a slave anymore and i dont want to listen to the fighting and i just want to run away from all of this any advice to help me??? btw i live with my parent equally and i feel bad leaving my dad i dont want to hurt him more
